Bailey Evans, an Indiana University Indianapolis graduate student, will serve as managing editor of a nationwide literary magazine currently in its earliest research and development stages under the guidance of Professor Sarah Layden. The creators envision the publication as a national platform for creative work and as a chance for graduate students to strengthen literary editing and publishing skills.

Evans arrives with experience from genesis, IU Indianapolis’ student literary and arts magazine, where she helped construct issues, organized events and, during two years as managing editor, oversaw two issues that received Literary Magazine of the Year honors from the Indiana Collegiate Press Association. She and Layden are studying nationwide publications as they prepare the new magazine and hope to maintain a connection between the new publication and genesis.

BusinessIndy examines this development and its implications for Indiana businesses and communities using the linked sources.
