Westfield’s Heart & Soul free clinic logged about 1,700 patient visits in 2025; seeks support with Sept. 19 fundraiser

Heart & Soul Free Clinic has provided free primary care to uninsured and underinsured residents since 2009, when nurse Sandy Kirsch founded the nonprofit, according to the clinic and local reporting. The clinic said it treated about 700 patients for roughly 1,700 visits in 2025.
Services have expanded beyond basic primary care to include women’s health, mental-health counseling, health education, physical therapy and orthopedic evaluations, as well as school-age vaccinations. A partnership with Ascension St. Vincent brings a mobile mammography unit to the clinic several times a year.
