Purdue unveils online dual MS (engineering) and MBT with Indianapolis in-person component
Purdue’s College of Engineering and the Mitch Daniels School of Business are launching an online dual-degree program that awards an MS in engineering and an MBT in a 54-credit pathway, with applications open for fall 2026 and an Indianapolis in-person experience added to the MBT.
Purdue’s new joint online program lets students earn both a Master of Science in engineering and a Master of Business and Technology in a single, 54-credit curriculum. The MS can be completed in industrial engineering, interdisciplinary engineering, microelectronics and semiconductors, or systems engineering; students take engineering, business and technology classes at the same time to build interdisciplinary skills and shorten time to degree.
Purdue says the MBT emphasizes emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and automation and will introduce an Indianapolis Experience to provide in-person networking opportunities. The university notes its online engineering graduate programs rank among the nation’s leaders and that the dual offering aims to combine engineering depth with business and technology management training.
